Project description: Adjacent to the former Napleton Autowerks dealership on South Campbell Avenue, Blue Iguana Car Wash LLC is building its second local car wash. Owner Greg Byler said the nearly 5,000-square-foot store should be operational this summer if construction crews don’t experience weather delays. He declined to disclose project costs, but a building permit filed with the city recorded a $190,000 value. Blue Iguana operates one car wash in Springfield at 1640 E. Sunshine St. and five in the St. Louis area, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting. Byler said Blue Iguana has grown by at least one new store annually since it began operating in 2013. He’s also planning to open a car wash on West Chestnut Expressway this winter.
