Project description: Springfield’s second 7 Brew Coffee shop appeared quite suddenly in mid-February at 1455 W. Battlefield Road, a site formerly occupied by an Assemblies of God Credit Union branch that was demolished to make way for the new building. The coffee shop arrived fully assembled via truck and was set in place by Architectural Design Concepts LLC, a regular contractor for Springdale, Arkansas-based Brew Crew LLC, the franchise owned by brothers Chris and Brandon Sebald and friend Larry Wilson. According to past Springfield Business Journal reporting, the shop will feature dual drive-thru lanes with a focus on iced and hot coffee, shakes, smoothies, energy drinks, teas and Italian sodas, but no food, which the owners say would slow down the operation. A third location is being scouted on East Sunshine Street, according to Chris Sebald, who said each of the Springfield shops will employ 50-60 workers, mostly part-timers. The Brew Crew franchise owns both Springfield locations, and has most of Missouri in its territory, with the exception of Kansas City and Branson.
