Four Springfield-based organizations have ranked on Forbes' list of America’s Best Employers by State.
CoxHealth, Bass Pro Shops, O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) and Missouri State University are the employers with Springfield headquarters on the list released last week. Forbes partnered with Statista for the list, which is based on some 70,000 anonymous employee recommendations.
CoxHealth is No. 41 in Missouri, followed by Bass Pro, at No. 46, O'Reilly Automotive, at No. 70, and MSU, at No. 75.
Mercy, a large local employer with headquarters in St. Louis, is No. 35 on the Forbes list.
On the Forbes list, 1,382 employers made the cut.
“Employers have had to motivate talent, combat burnout and ensure the well-being and safety of their workers, while pursuing profits amid a sensitive political landscape that spurred new levels of corporate activism – not to mention a growing divide in what people want from institutions and companies,” Forbes officials said in introducing the list.
