The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools has started the new academic year with funding for projects benefiting classrooms.
The foundation on Friday awarded 80 grants totaling $235,440 to 40 schools in the district, according to a news release. Educators submit grant proposals for funding that will enhance learning experiences for their students.
“Our back-to-school grant program is designed to make educators’ dreams a reality by providing the resources they need to inspire innovation in the classroom,” said Natalie Murdock, the foundation's executive director, in the release. “These projects not only fill important gaps but also align with the district’s priorities."
