A partnership announced last year between FORVIS LLP and Paris-based international audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars Group has been finalized.
The agreement creates a global accounting network, comprising Forvis Mazars LLP in the United States and Forvis Mazars Group SC operating internationally in more than 100 countries and territories, effective June 1, according to a news release. Forvis Mazars was formerly FORVIS LLP, and Forvis Mazars Group SC previously operated as Mazars Group.
Tom Watson will continue to serve as CEO of Forvis Mazars and sit on a new global network board created by the partnership. Mazars Group executive board Chair Hervé Hélias will lead the global network board as chair, and Forvis Mazars Chair Matt Snow will be the global network board's vice chair.
“Forvis Mazars is built on our commitment to listen to our clients, anticipate the challenges they face, and deliver an unmatched client experience in all that we do,” Watson said in the release. “This new network will quickly unlock new opportunities for our clients and our people, and both groups can feel confident that we are making decisions with their long-term success in mind.”
Through the deal, FORVIS acquired Mazars USA LLP for undisclosed terms, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting. The release indicates the merger of Mazars USA into Forvis Mazars adds 1,000 employees and 14 offices to the U.S. operation.
The official formation of Forvis Mazars additionally means branding changes on the way.
Gary Schafer, managing partner of Forvis Mazars' Springfield office at 910 St. Louis St., said via email that signage at the main, west entrance of the building already has been changed. Signage changes on the northeast side of the building were underway this morning, he said.
