Former KSMU news director dies at 44

Former KSMU News Director Missy Shelton Belote died yesterday at age 44. She had ovarian cancer.

Belote was a longtime political reporter at the Springfield public radio station.

Belote, who exited KSMU and NPR in 2012 after 13 years, also became a pastor at her church in Kingsport, Tennessee.
