Focal Pointe Brings Unique Landscape Services to Springfield

Posted online

Focal Pointe Outdoor Solutions started in the St. Louis area more than 20 years ago and when asked by an existing client to bring their unique approach to commercial landscape services to Springfield, they jumped at the opportunity. If you think you're seeing more burgundy landscaping trucks in and around Springfield, you're right.

“I have been coming to this area since I was a child, and there is a genuine, authentic feeling within the community. Everyone you talk to feels like an old friend – we could see that the values of Focal Pointe aligned well with the values of Springfield and Branson,” says John Munie, founder and president.

“I also had a strong booster in my ear with Matt Gifford, who we work with at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. He loved his time in Springfield – great place to raise a family, grow a business, invest in the community. Everything he had to say about Springfield spoke to what we want to be a part of.”

Former Springfield Chamber of Commerce Executive Greg Williams is leading Focal Pointe’s local sales and marketing efforts. “I am so pleased to be representing Focal Pointe here in Springfield and Branson. We’ve been in the market for not even two years and have doubled in size. The reason? Focal Pointe’s high image standards are part of the culture.”

“When you join the team, they tell you: ‘Think of Focal Pointe as a branding company. Our services and how our employees perform those services must tell our clients’ stories. The only reason a company spends a nickel on landscaping is to project the quality image of their brand.’ When everyone in the company thinks like that, the work sells itself.”

Focal Pointe also places a premium on communication. “Every client is assigned a Focal Pointe account manager who takes ownership of the client experience. If you bring an issue to our attention, before we bring it to your attention, then we feel like we’re not doing our job.”

Williams continued, “Great service starts with great listening, and then building a service solution to match the client’s goals. We do that, then we communicate our progress with the client on a regular basis throughout the year and own the details to make sure we achieve those goals. When you humbly put client success at the center of your efforts, happy customers follow.”
