Project description: Field Elementary School in the Springfield Public Schools district will be expanding by adding four new classrooms. The additional space is needed to accommodate students transitioning from the recently closed Pershing and Wilder schools. The new classrooms in the 4,000-square-foot building are planned for the northwest corner of the existing campus, creating a fresh frontage for the school, according to project officials from Interpres Building Solutions. The addition will incorporate materials similar to those used in the existing safe room and classrooms to ensure a cohesive look for the campus.
