FCC clears Verizon's $20B acquisition after DEI dissolution

The Federal Communications Commission gave the OK to Verizon's planned acquisition of Frontier Communications.

The green light for the $20 billion deal came three hours after Verizon announced it was dismantling its diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

Verizon intends to grow its fiber-optic internet footprint with the deal.
