The former chief financial officer of a Kansas City company pleaded guilty to a $3.1 million embezzlement scheme.
Scott Simkins worked for Genesys Industrial Corp., which does business as Genesys Systems Integrator.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to pay nearly $1 million in state and federal taxes.
