The Efactory was selected for a grant from the Missouri Technology Corp.

Rachel Anderson, director of Missouri State University's Efactory business incubator in downtown Springfield, said the organization was chosen to receive $250,000 over two years.

"We are partnering with Codefi on their existing and new programs to be able to deliver additional support and resources throughout southern Missouri," she said via email.

Cape Girardeau-based Codefi, which also was selected for $250,000 through the roughly $1 million MTC grant round, is expanding its Code Labs software developer training program and Youth Coding League after-school education program at the Efactory, according to a news release.

"We are excited to join forces with the Efactory in Springfield to leverage our collective resources and expertise, with community partners across southern Missouri, to generate even more economic impact," Codefi founder James Stapleton said in the release.

The MTC, a public-private partnership designed to promote entrepreneurship, previously has given funds to the Efactory.
