A new Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins combo restaurant has opened in Springfield.
Emma Corson, a public relations manager who spoke on behalf of Dunkin’, said Dec. 4 was the first day open to the public at 1614 S. Glenstone Ave.
A news release issued this morning indicates a grand opening event is scheduled Jan. 14.
The 2,350-square-foot restaurant employs roughly 30 people.
Franchisee Bapa Network LLC hired BP Builders LLC as general contractor and Wichita, Kansas-based Clarkitecture LLC as architect for the roughly $2 million construction project, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
The combo restaurant is located on the site of the former Krave Seafood & Oyster Bar.
Bapa Network in May opened a Dunkin' restaurant franchise at 2534 S. Campbell Ave. in the Old Town Shopping Center, according to past reporting. The 900-square-foot Dunkin' was designed to take pressure off Bapa Network's 4020 S. Campbell Ave. restaurant, where traffic often is known to overflow on the side road near Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
Bapa Network also has a Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins combo restaurant in Wildwood Plaza in Republic, according to past reporting.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
