Drury University is distributing $2 million in COVID-19 stimulus funds to students.
School officials said in a news release that the American Rescue Plan funds granted to the university earlier this year would be issued directly to students as pandemic relief aid. The payments represent about half of the university's remaining student relief funds.
Students will receive up to $1,500 each depending on financial need documented in federal student aid documents.
Earlier this year, Drury distributed $1.2 million in federal stimulus funds to students.
With ARP funding, Missouri State University this month announced plans to issue $22.6 million to students.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
