Drury University has appointed former Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. President Brian Fogle as executive in residence.
According to a news release, Fogle, who recently retired from CFO, is working in his new role to connect nonprofits with Drury students.
“Throughout my career, whether serving on boards or working directly for a nonprofit, I have seen the incredible difference they make in our community, state and nation," Fogle said in the release. "At Drury, we hope to match that passion and commitment of nonprofits with world-class educational opportunities to help make them even more effective.
"The nonprofit sector currently employs over 10% of our country’s workforce, and we look forward to providing resources to have employees even better prepared for that important work."
Fogle's role as executive in residence involves initiatives to meet the needs and challenges of local nonprofits through undergraduate and continuing education in nonprofit leadership.
“Brian has spent his career providing leadership and service to the greater Springfield area. Drury is fortunate to have Brian engaging with our students and teaching them how to impact their community,” Drury Provost Beth Harville said in the release.
