High-end home activity in the Queen City shot up in April as the spring season began to bloom.
For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 17 single-family homes within city limits that hit the market last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. The April figure was up from five in March and six in February, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.
The residences listed last month collectively are seeking $13.3 million.
The highest priced home of the month is located at the 18th tee box at Highland Springs. Murney Associates, Realtors listed the property at $2.3 million.
The latest data from the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors show 391 Greene County homes sold in March, a drop from 477 a year earlier. The median sales price climbed to $237,000 from $195,000 in March 2021.
Statewide, 6,572 residential properties sold in March at an average price of $271,846, according to a news release from the Missouri Realtors group.
