Southern Missouri Regional MLS data show 14 high-end homes were listed in the Springfield market during November.
For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of the single-family homes within city limits that were listed last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. The November figure was up from 13 in October but down from 22 in September.
Combined, the owners of the residences are seeking nearly $9 million through their asking prices in November.
At roughly $1.1 million, the highest-priced home listed last month is located in far east Springfield. The nearly 5,000-square-foot, cottage-style residence is being marketed by Keller Williams Greater Springfield.
In the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors' coverage area, the median sales price for homes increased to $247,500 in October compared with $215,000 a year earlier. There were 535 homes sold during the month, down from 734 in October 2021, according to the latest data provided by the organization.
The Missouri Realtors association reported the average price statewide was $282,431, a 9.3% increase from October 2021, according to a news release. There were 6,320 residential properties sold.
