Project description: The Olsson team was selected to provide master planning and engineering services for additions and improvements to the city of Springfield’s 127-acre Cooper Soccer Complex. The eight soccer fields are being replaced with synthetic turf to allow for a longer playing season and better field conditions during wet weather. The project also includes improvements to the stormwater draining system. Additional concession and restroom facility buildings and walkways are included, with Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible routes being created for reliable access to all fields, new buildings and pedestrian areas, project officials say.
