Connelly Plumbing, Heating and Air has been purchased by a Des Moines, Iowa-based company.

The Waldinger Corp. yesterday closed on the deal for Connelly Plumbing and its sister company, CMI Mechanical, according to a news release. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

"With the additional resources Waldinger brings to the table, we will be able to provide additional opportunities for our staff and our customers long into the future," said Danny Edwards, Connelly's former president who is now serving as general manager of Waldinger's Springfield branch, in the release.

Edwards' children also are staying on board: Matthew Edwards as service manager, Brett Edwards as construction manager and Kayley Edwards Graves as project engineer. The Waldinger Corp. now has 1,050 construction tradespeople and over 300 service technicians across its six-state region.

Danny Edwards' father, John Edwards, bought Connelly Plumbing in 1961, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

Connelly Plumbing's project portfolio includes the Gillioz Theatre, Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield and the Dan Kinney Family Center, according to its website.
