Two Bolivar institutions are partnering on health care services.
Citizens Memorial Hospital and Southwest Baptist University formalized two partnerships, according to a news release issued this morning, in which CMH will provide medical services at SBU's health clinic and continue to be the sports medicine care provider for SBU student-athletes. The terms of the deals were undisclosed in the release.
“SBU and CMH have a long-standing relationship as collaborative partners on multiple projects,” CMH CEO Michael Calhoun said in the release. “With this partnership, SBU students will receive expert medical care with the convenience of being in Bolivar. We are excited to provide on-campus medical services for all SBU students and proud to be the preferred medical provider for the SBU Bearcats.”
Starting with the 2023-24 academic year, CMH will provide medical services at SBU’s health clinic through a nurse navigator and telehealth program.
The nurse navigator will provide basic health care services, such as treatment for common illnesses, and coordinate virtual appointments for medical conditions requiring a higher level of care, according to the release.
