City in KC metro area blocks data center plans

The Missouri city of Peculiar, located in the Kansas City metro area, has blocked a proposed data center project after complaints from residents.

The proposal from Diode Ventures originally received city approval. The development called for multiple buildings across 500 acres.

The aldermen meeting on Monday that decided the issue was packed with residents in opposition of the project.
