Chuck Todd is stepping down as host and moderator of political show "Meet the Press."
"I've loved so much of this job — helping to explain America to Washington and explain Washington to America," Todd said.
NBC's chief White House correspondent, Kristen Welker, is slated to succeed Todd as host of "Meet the Press."
