The Christian County Ambulance District is working on a multimillion-dollar headquarters project in Ozark.
The emergency medical services provider is projecting a $3.3 million-$3.5 million cost for the development at 320 N. 20th St., said Director Christie Thompson. The center is slated to be built on 4.4 acres the organization purchased last year for $800,000, she said.
The Christian County Ambulance District hired Torgerson Design Partners LLC as project architect for the 12,000-square-foot headquarters, according to a news release. The architecture contract is valued at $155,635, Thompson said, noting the bidding process for the project's general contractor should start in May.
"The completion date is dependent on the current situation and materials, but we hope to open the facility in summer of 2022," she said via email.
Christian County Ambulance District has an emergency services contract in place with CoxHealth, according to its website. It currently operates at 393 N. 21st St. in Ozark.
