China chemical plant explosion leaves 47 dead

An explosion at a chemical plant in China on Thursday killed at least 47 people.

The Jiangsu Tianjiayi Chemical plant's explosion injured at least 640 others and left a crater in the ground.

Cao Lubao, mayor of Yancheng, where the blast occurred, said nearly 3,000 people were evacuated after the explosion.
