Child Advocacy Center installs new leader

Posted online

Child Advocacy Center Inc. hired a new executive director.

Katiina Dull is succeeding Linda Saturno, the nonprofit's nearly four-year director who's moving to North Carolina, according to a news release. Lori Barnes Miller, development director for Child Advocacy Center, said Saturno is originally from North Carolina and has family there.

"The board of directors thanks Linda for her four years of service, her strong voice on behalf of children and her unwavering commitment to strengthening the mission and impact of the Child Advocacy Center," officials with the nonprofit said in the release.

Dull and Saturno are working together over the next few weeks to transition the new director into the role, the release said.

Dull most recently served as interim CEO at The Young Americans College of the Performing Arts in Corona, California. She previously worked for five years as development and outreach director for Children's Advocacy Alliance in Conway, Arkansas, according to her LinkedIn profile.

"The time I spent with the Children's Advocacy Alliance in Arkansas had a profound impact on my life," she said in the release. "It opened my eyes to the deeply rooted challenges faced within our communities; it impacted how I parent my children, and it deepened my commitment to working for a purpose.

"I am humbled to be joining a team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to provide a voice and nurture hope for the most vulnerable children in our community."

Child Advocacy Center conducts forensic interviews and medical evaluations in partnership with law enforcement officers and prosecutors in child abuse and neglect cases.

The 29-employee nonprofit’s operating budget is $2.3 million, said Miller.
