A longtime Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce employee is exiting the organization for a new job.

Today is the last day at the chamber for Emily Denniston, the organization’s vice president of public affairs, said spokesperson Jennifer McClure. Denniston is joining the Efactory as director of community engagement and operations, according to her profile at Efactory.MissouriState.edu.

"We are very excited for her in this new role with [the] Efactory," McClure said via email, noting the chamber is "looking forward to having her as an active member/volunteer in the future."

The chamber has posted the vice president of public affairs role on its website.

A 16-year employee of the chamber, Denniston has worked the past seven years in the vice president position, according to her LinkedIn profile.

A job posting at MissouriState.edu for the Efactory director of community engagement and operations indicates the position manages daily operations; assesses the effectiveness of programs, policies and procedures; and assists in seeking funding sources, among other duties. The position is listed with a salary range of $70,401-$106,912.
