CFO issues $100K in grants

Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. on Friday conducted a $100,000 COVID-19 grant round.

Ten organizations received funds in the latest round, with the largest amounts going to Care to Learn, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare and GYN Cancers Alliance, according to a news release.

The recipients, by grant amount, are:

  • $20,000 apiece for Care to Learn, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare and GYN Cancers Alliance;
  • $10,000 apiece for Child Advocacy Center and Children’s Smile Center;
  • $8,000 for CASA of Southwest Missouri;
  • $5,000 for Helping Hands – Abuse & Crisis Center of Hickory County;
  • $3,500 for Center City Christian Outreach;
  • $2,500 for Heart to Heart Outreach Ministries; and
  • $1,000 for Community Outreach Ministries of Bolivar.

With the latest grant round, CFO has surpassed $3 million in COVID-19 grantmaking issued directly and through regional affiliate foundations, donor-advisers and employee benevolence funds. Previously, CFO held three grant rounds totaling $300,000 in July, August and September, according to the release.
