Get to know one of the region’s top business executives and what makes them tick in work and life.
Q: What makes SGF unique to you?
A: Springfield is a stronghold of entrepreneurship. With such a small geographic area, we are bustling with talent/creatives and independent thinkers/risk-takers – all which have impact well beyond our city’s boundaries. The likes of Bass Pro Shops, O’Reilly Automotive Inc., SRC Holdings Corp. and Prime Trucking are just a few of the blue-ribbon companies that call Springfield their home that represent this entrepreneur spirit.
Q: What aspects of the community and culture make you proud?
A: We are a big city with a small-town charm.
We are a giving city.
We are a diverse city.
We are a visionary city.
We are a caring city.
We are an artistic city.
We are a spiritual city.
We are a learning city.
We are an active city.
We are a sporting city.
Q: What makes you want to stay in Springfield to do what you do?
A: To continue to create spaces where our community can live/learn/work and play – and the opportunities to create landmarks, not buildings, that represent our community and that inspire people to do good and live well.
Q: Where are your favorite places to go when you want to show off the city?
A: Galloway Village is a great area that shows how our city is transitioning into an eclectic hub of great design and gathering. I also love to take clients to breakfast to lesser-known restaurants – FirstWatch, Gastropub, Early Bird – those restaurants really show the personality of our city and the people who make up Springfield. It’s really rewarding to see the melting pot of some of Springfield’s finest going there and connecting.
Q: If you had a billboard to promote Springfield, what would it say?
A: What We Think, We Become … We Are Springfield!!
