A car wash is in the works on half of a lot that formerly housed an Arvest Bank branch.
Curtis Jared, president and CEO of Jared Commercial, which is marketing the property for land owner 600 S Glenstone LLC, said a Take 5 Car Wash store is coming to the site.
The southern half of the nearly 3-acre site remains available, Jared said.
In the spring, crews demolished the former Arvest Bank branch at 600 S. Glenstone Ave., located at the Cherry Street intersection. At the time, Jared said the building was being demolished to make way for developable lots.
The building also previously was a branch of Bear State Bank, which Arvest acquired for $391 million in 2018, according to past reporting.
Take 5 Car Wash joins another of Driven Brands' companies in putting down roots in the Queen City. Driven Brands' Take 5 Oil Change recently added a location at 2340 N. Glenstone Ave.
Signage for another Take 5, this one a combination car wash and oil change facility, was spotted in the 2800 block of North Kansas Expressway, across from the Walmart Supercenter at the site of a former Waffle House. Site prep is now underway.
Connected to Watkins Elementary School is a new storm shelter now under construction.
