Budget Blinds: More Than Just Blinds

Posted online

Despite the company’s name, designing and installing blinds is only part of what Budget Blinds of Southwest Missouri offers. The company also provides customized home and commercial products, including drapes, shades, films, grilles, and screens, plus accent pieces. “We can do anything from a living room to a whole house or a small office to a huge complex,” says Diana Doan who runs the company with her husband, Charles and their dog, Max, who is CFO (Chief Fluffy Officer).

While owners often think of windows as a final step in the design process, Doan suggests calling on their expertise early. “We spend the time to understand how our customers live and work to provide the best solution possible to fit their style and budget,” says Doan. Automation has added modern functionality, providing flexible mood and energy control. Customers can choose when they want treatments to open and close in order to prevent fading of furnishings and artwork, for protection, and to optimize lighting and energy efficiency.

Doan says that people often believe that the big box stores will be less expensive. “But they can’t come close to matching our service and the way we stand behind our products. We may be part of a big company but we’re part of our community and back what we sell.”

A unique offering at Budget Blinds of Southwest Missouri is a “no questions asked” warranty for residential clients. “No matter what happens to a your blinds we will replace them one time per window, per customer, no questions asked,” says Diana Doan. They will also come to you for a free design consultation.

Though part of the worldwide franchise boasting 1,400 locations, the Doans are dedicated to the community they serve, belonging the Springfield Contractors’ Association, the Springfield Homebuilders’ Association, and the Hotel and Lodging Association of Springfield and Branson.
