Brokate Janitorial LLC relocated to a larger headquarters after outgrowing its former space.
CEO Jeremy Brokate said via email the roughly 25-year-old commercial cleaning company moved Sept. 17 to 1900 E. Chestnut Expressway. The building previously housed Tech Electronics.
The more than 10,000-square-foot building features larger office and warehouse space, collaborative work areas and a training area, according to a news release. The company's former office on South Union Avenue spans 6,000 square feet.
“When we moved into our former office in 2017, I thought we would never outgrow it," Brokate said in the release. "It was four times larger than our previous office and seemed like a building we could settle into for the long haul, but we outgrew it more quickly than we thought.”
Brokate said the company purchased the Chestnut Expressway building for an undisclosed amount. Greene County recorder data show 1900 Property LLC purchased the building in December 2020 from a trust. A deed of trust for the purchase between 1900 Property LLC and Legacy Bank and Trust lists a note amount of $811,000.
Founded in Branson in 1995, Brokate Janitorial now employs approximately 150, with 15-20 who work directly out of the office, Jeremy Brokate said. The company provides janitorial and related building services for industries including manufacturing and medical.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
