A Springfield businessperson is leading the expansion of a Kansas company.
Brent Davis, who owns Springfield-based Bristol Manufacturing Corp., also is CEO of Overland Park, Kansas-based Kansas Dairy Ingredients, which is expanding a plant in the state to the tune of $44 million, according to a news release. Springfield First Community Bank, of which Davis is a board member, and Great Southern Bank are assisting in the project that's funded through industrial revenue bonds.
"I am proud of the partnership formed eight years ago with SFC Bank and Great Southern to make this project a reality," Davis said in the release.
Kansas Dairy Ingredients is expanding a plant in Hugoton, Kansas, located in the southwest corner of the state. The expansion calls on doubling the size of the plant, officials say.
"The area is rich with diverse talent in the dairy manufacturing industry," David said in the release.
