Branson City Engineer David Miller was elected the 2007 president-elect of the Transportation Engineers Association of Missouri. Miller, director of the city’s engineering department since 1990, has supervised the construction and improvements of more than 20 miles of streets in Branson worth more than $50 million.

Joan Chowning, director of the Taney County Office of Economic Development, received the Heartland Scholarship to attend the Heartland Economic Development Course this month. Offered through the Missouri Economic Development Council, the course is intended to assist Taney County and its Industrial Development Authority in adopting new strategies for attracting jobs.[[In-content Ad]]
