Branson Landing to add new restaurant

Branson Landing owner HCW Development Co. LLC is working with an experienced chef to launch a new restaurant at the outdoor retail center.

HCW is partnering with chef Collin Thornton on a concept called Ozarks Brasserie, Restaurant and Bar, according to a news release. Officials describe the restaurant as a "classic French Italian eatery" with seafood and European cuisine.

“We are very excited to welcome chef Thornton and Ozarks Brasserie to Branson Landing,” said Rick Huffman, HCW’s president and CEO, in the release. “Looking forward to having another award-winning chef in the tenant mix at Branson Landing."

Branson Landing also is home to Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen and Bar. Thornton, president of Brass Ring Hospitality LLC, has experience at Big Cedar Lodge and several hotels under the Fairmont brand, according to his LinkedIn profile.

At Big Cedar, Thornton previously oversaw some 650 employees and food and beverage offerings at the resort, according to the release.

“I am here to stay," he said in the release. "After years of travel and experiences, my wife, Whitney, and son Seth are thrilled to call Branson, Missouri, home."

Ozarks Brasserie is scheduled to launch this spring at the building that previously housed HCW's Ramata Italian. The latter restaurant closed March 6 after opening at Branson Landing in December 2021.

Ozarks Brasserie & Bar LLC was organized by Thornton last year, according to a Missouri secretary of state filing.
