Branson hotel-apartment conversion sets opening date

Posted online

An apartment complex converted from a former hotel in Branson has a scheduled opening date.

The Penleigh-Branson Row is slated to open June 15, according to spokesperson Abby Geter.

California-based Drever Partners last year purchased the former Angel Inn by the Strip, 3029 W. 76 Country Blvd., and began a roughly $12.5 million process to redevelop it into 324 apartments. The project additionally called for three resident lounges, a fitness center, children’s playground, swimming pool with two hot tubs, resort-style cabanas and a pavilion with grills for residents, Springfield Business Journal previously reported.

“When we purchased the former Angel Inn by the Strip, we knew that more affordable workforce apartments were desperately needed in Branson due to their expanding economy and limited housing supply. It was our mission to answer that need for the community,” said Galen Drever, managing director of Drever Partners, in a news release. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer attractive, functional and safe spaces for our future residents and make good on our promise.”

The company currently is preleasing apartments for the development constructed by Indianapolis, Indiana-based Midwest GC LLC. Indianapolis-based Prince Alexander Architecture designed the project.
