Branson-area bank acquisition finalizes

Posted online

Kimberling City-based Table Rock Community Bank is now under new ownership.

Southeast Missouri operation Alton Bancshares Inc., the holding company for First Community Bank of the Ozarks in Branson and Alton Bank in the city of the same name, finalized its acquisition of Table Rock Community Bank on June 10, according to a news release sent to Springfield Business Journal yesterday. The financial terms of the deal, which passed regulatory approvals, were undisclosed.

"We are proud to support their legacy of positively impacting families and businesses in Stone County and the surrounding communities," said Kendall Combs, chair of Alton Bancshares, in the release.

The acquisition brings Alton Bancshares' branch total in the Branson area to five, operating under three names: Alton Bank, First Community Bank and Table Rock Community Bank. Combined, the institutions have assets of nearly $400 million.

Table Rock Community Bank will continue as an independent operation under the same name, along with the same staff and management team, according to the release.

"We are more committed than ever to providing the highest level of service and helping our customers achieve their financial goals,” said Dwayne Falk, president and CEO of Table Rock Community Bank, in the release.

In Stone and Taney counties, Table Rock Community Bank had $118.3 million in deposits as of June 30, 2021, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data. First Community Bank had deposits of $108.6 million, and Alton Bank was not listed in FDIC records of deposits for those counties in June last year.
