The Bolivar-based law firm of Douglas, Haun & Heidemann PC appointed a new partner.
Nick Allen, an employee of the law firm since 2016, joins other DHH partners K. Patrick Douglas, Craig Heidemann and Donald Brown, according to a news release.
"As the senior litigation associate, Allen focuses his practice on civil plaintiffs work in the areas of personal injury, employment law, workers' compensation and class actions," officials said in the release.
DHH has offices in Bolivar and Springfield. Allen lives in the Queen City.
The company in 2021 ranked No. 8 on Springfield Business Journal's list of the area's largest law firms. DHH reported 11 local attorneys for the list and 29 total staff members. The firm's practice areas include personal injury, class action, estate planning, family and real estate law.
Helping people is the foremost purpose in business for Angela Stephens. The idea for Re-Focus the Creative Office was born to help her son, Drake Stephens, who had started struggling in school in fifth grade.
