Billionaire investor Ryan Cohen is building a sizeable stake in Nordstrom Inc. and plans to push the retailer to shake up its board, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
Cohen appears to be targeting Mark Tritton, former Bed Bath & Beyond CEO. Cohen has called Tritton "conflicted and unqualified," the sources said.
Reports of Cohen's involvement in Nordstrom pushed the company's stock up by 25% in after-hours trading yesterday.
