New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced he'll no longer seek the presidency in 2020.
“I feel like I’ve contributed all I can to this primary election and it’s clearly not my time, so I’m going to end my presidential campaign,” de Blasio said.
De Blasio fell short of the requirements to participate in the last two primary debates. Contenders had to poll at 2% or more and attract 130,000 donors. De Blasio polled at less than 1% and had fewer than 65,000 donors as of late August.
