Bass Pro to remodel Hollister hotel into lodge

Posted online

Bass Pro Shops is remodeling a Hollister hotel to provide greater access to Big Cedar Lodge.

The 94-room property will be renovated into Angler’s Lodge with a planned opening on March 10, 2021, according to a news release. The property formerly was a La Quinta Inn.

Bass Pro spokesperson Janet Glaser said the company purchased the 291 Financial Drive property on Oct. 23 for undisclosed terms.

"Angler’s Lodge makes it easy to connect with the outdoors," Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Big Cedar, where Payne's Valley opened last month as its newest golf course. It’s also located near Table Rock Lake and the Mincy Conservation Area.

It's the second Angler's hotel for Bass Pro after the opening of Angler’s Inn in 2018. Morris and team converted a Days Inn hotel across the street from the Bass Pro and Wonders of Wildlife Museum & Aquarium campus.
