Bass Pro Shops is growing its footprint in Minnesota.

The Springfield-based outdoor retailer is targeting an opening during the first half of 2025 for an Outpost store in Hermantown, which is just west of Duluth, according to a news release.

“It’s an honor to serve the sportsmen and women in the Duluth area and help outfit them for adventures as they enjoy the rich fishing and hunting opportunities in Minnesota and throughout the region,” Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release.

The 70,000-square-foot Outpost store would be Bass Pro's first location in the northeast part of Minnesota. Bass Pro, which has 173 stores in the United States and Canada, has Minnesota locations in Rogers, East Grand Forks, Woodbury and Owatonna, according to its website.

The Hermantown store would be accessible through U.S. Highway 53, according to the release.
