A trio of criminal defense attorneys joined together to start a new firm.
Scott Pierson left The Law Offices of Dee Wampler and Joseph Passanise PC to form Twibell Pierson Criminal Law with fellow attorneys Bert and Branden Twibell. The latter two, who are father and son and began working together in 2013, previously operated under the Twibell Johnson name, Pierson said. He noted Jason Johnson stayed on as of counsel for the new firm.
“Branden and I have a really similar view of client representation that’s focused on taking care of the client and using that to get the best possible results,” said Pierson, who had worked at The Law Offices of Dee Wampler and Joseph Passanise for nearly six years before creating Twibell Pierson on Aug. 1.
Twibell Pierson focuses on high-end criminal defense, Pierson said, as well as assault, drug, DWI, federal and municipal charges. The company has eight employees, he said, working out of Hammons Tower. Pierson declined to estimate the firm’s annual billings.
Bert Twibell has been in private practice since 1975, previously working under such company names as Twibell, Johnson, Johnson & Garrison.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
