Kyle Hubbard, president of Arvest Bank's Springfield market for two years, has taken a job with a company in Oklahoma.

Hubbard accepted a role as division president of retail banking in Gateway First Bank's Jenks, Oklahoma, corporate office, near Tulsa, according to a news release.

“I am from Oklahoma, and it feels great to be coming back to my hometown area,” Hubbard said in the release. “I am excited to be joining the Gateway team on the ground floor of expansion in current and new markets and products.”

Hubbard, a 20-year employee of Arvest, changed his LinkedIn profile to indicate he started this month with Gateway First Bank.

Shane Cowger, sales manager for Arvest Springfield, said he and Jason England, executive vice president and loan manager, are splitting Hubbard's duties on an interim basis. Hubbard exited Arvest on April 18, Cowger said, noting an interview process is underway for his successor and could conclude by the end of May.

Prior to joining the company's Springfield market, Hubbard served as president and CEO of Arvest's operation in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, according to past reporting. He started with Arvest in 2002 as a teller in Oklahoma City, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Arvest in 2021 ranked No. 15 on Springfield Business Journal's list of the largest banks and savings banks. The company recorded 2021 deposits in the Springfield metropolitan statistical area of $415.5 million.
