Arvest Bank's mortgage division set a record in 2021, despite a slight dip in the Springfield market.

The company's mortgage loan volume was roughly $4.8 billion, besting the prior record of $4.7 billion set in 2020, according to a news release. Arvest’s service area spans Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, according to its website.

“Continued adoption of our digital tools, low rates and tremendous support from our mortgage associates and business partners allowed us to help more than 21,000 customers in 2021,” said Matt Kendall, mortgage division president and CEO, in the release. “It’s also worth noting how we embraced changes such as allowing customers to sign documents remotely to maintain our service level under trying circumstances.”

Arvest's Springfield market made 904 mortgage loans totaling $171.4 million in 2021. That's down from 989 loans totaling $176.2 million in 2020, according to bank officials.

"We know high demand and low inventory are challenges in many areas, but we remain equally committed to finding solutions for those who choose us," said Kyle Hubbard, president of Arvest Bank in Springfield, in the release.

Arvest oversees 99% of its mortgage loans after they close, meaning customers make payments directly to the company. Arvest currently has more than 270,000 mortgage loans, totaling over $53 billion, under service.
