Springfield-based Anderson Engineering Inc. is rebranding.

The company today became Own Inc., according to a news release. The company is stylizing the name as OWN "to celebrate and unleash the power of its successful business culture built on 100% employee ownership,” officials say.

“Our new name grew out of the idea that our greatest asset is our ability to tap into the power of true employee ownership and deliver creative problem-solving and service that goes beyond the expected,” CEO Jerrod Hogan said in the release. “We focus on the vital relationship between passionate engineers, their entrepreneurial drive and the responsibility they share together as owners.”

The firm has 230 employees across 10 offices in Missouri, Arkansas and Florida. Of its employee count, 58 are in Springfield. The engineering firm serves industries including health care, education, hospitality and sports.

The firm was established in 1954 as Tri-Lakes Concrete Co. and became Anderson Engineering in 1977, according to the release. It became employee owned in 1998.

The company ranked No. 12 on Springfield Business Journal's 2021 Dynamic Dozen list of fast-growing companies, based on three-year revenue growth of 48% to $19.5 million.

Recent projects for the engineering firm include the James River Church youth building addition and renovation in Ozark, The Timbers Apartments in Lebanon, The Crescent in Springfield and the Springfield Public Schools Academy of Exploration.
