$50M Lebanon residential development in the works

Posted online

A Lebanon-based developer is planning a $50 million residential community in the Laclede County city.

OHM Developing Inc., owned by Dennis Hall, purchased 23 acres in Lebanon for a development designed with multiple types of housing, according to a news release. Ozark-based Torgerson Design Partners LLC is the architect on the project, and construction is scheduled to begin in 2021.

“For a community to grow, we must have adequate housing," Hall said in the release.

The preliminary design plans call for a 220-unit residential care facility; seven three-story apartment buildings; five fourplex buildings; pickleball and basketball courts; walking trails and a park; and water features. The development's scope could result in nearly 500 new homes.

Hall identified an early challenge for the project.

"The soaring construction costs caused by storms and hurricanes we have all experienced has made housing impossible to fund without being very creative," he said in the release. "My team and I are working closely with the city of Lebanon to get this done, and we will.”

Recent development work in Lebanon also has included The Exchange at Wall Street, a $5 million entertainment complex from Florida-based Wall Street Cattle Co.
