Editor’s note: Congratulations to the 2021 Health Care Champions!
This issue has me reflecting on the countless times I’ve turned to a health care worker for information, healing or reassurance. It made me think of the words of Maya Angelou: “They may not remember your name, but they will never forget the way you made them feel.”
We often encounter a health care worker in moment of tragedy, uncertainty or even joy. These everyday heroes offer their skills and their warmth to see us through, and the great ones make an indelible impact.
Thanks to our judges for their time in selecting this year’s class. We hope you enjoy reading this special publication.
