2021 40 Under 40: Callie Carroll

VP of Business Development and Shareholder Relations Officer, Old Missouri Bank

Posted online

Building relationships is the foundation of Callie Carroll’s career. In moving from her previous role as director of athletics development at Missouri State
University to her new role at Old Missouri Bank, Carroll, 30, remains focused on cultivating and strengthening connections with people.

At MSU, Carroll reinvigorated the Bears Fund by reaching out to former members. She set a goal of raising the number of members to 800
from 500.

Through new events and other initiatives, her team exceeded its goal and reached 850 memberships.

“In my new role, I hope to create, cultivate and strengthen relationships for OMB and throughout the community,” Carroll says.

First job? My first job following graduating from undergrad was a morning news anchor, reporter and producer at WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi.

Professional aha moment? If two people at the table have the same point of view, one of them is irrelevant.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Three of the greatest pieces of advice I’ve ever received: Show up for people, even when it is not convenient. Always be yourself, even if you are too much for others to handle. Don’t try and be one of the guys, because being female is one of your greatest strengths.
