Trevor Croley keeps his focus on one main objective.

“Our business has always been client-centered and committed to finding the best fit for the customer’s insurance needs,” says Croley, president of Croley Insurance and Financial Inc.

Croley’s 23-year career in the insurance industry began in 1995 at New England Financial Group in Wichita, Kansas, as a registered representative for securities and financial planning. He launched his first company in 1999 as co-owner of the now dissolved Employee Benefits Administrators Group Inc. The same year, he became owner and president of Direct Rate Inc., a position he still holds.

At the 25-employee Croley Insurance and Financial, he provides more than 3,000 clients commercial and personal health insurance, property and casualty insurance and life, retirement and employee benefits.

“If I’ve done my job well, I hope I have made an overwhelming positive impact on my clients’ businesses, particularly in helping provide affordable, high-quality benefits to their most valuable asset: their employees,” Croley says.

Last year, Croley Insurance and Financial sold more than $25 million in individual annual premiums.

“Trust is something that I hope I have created with my clients, and I feel it is something that develops over time in helping them craft a benefit plan that fits their health, needs and budget,” Croley says.

He has been recognized as Cox HealthPlans’ top individual producer and as a Million Dollar Producer.

His goal is to help customers through the federal health insurance marketplace that he describes as “incredibly turbulent.”

“The marketplace/exchange is not an easy system to navigate, and many clients are desperate for help because there are questions that may be easily misinterpreted and can cause severe taxation consequences,” Croley says. “I have always been in the business of explaining health plans to individuals, employers and employees; but now I feel an obligation to explain an immense amount of information that can carry severe implications.”

GigSalad is one beneficiary of Croley’s commitment to his customers. He has worked as employee benefits broker for the Springfield-based entertainment booking company the past four years.

“As our personal representative, he manages our corporate needs by working with health carriers to find the best solution for our employees while keeping our economic goals in check,” says Elody Tippie, GigSalad’s human resources manager.

Croley serves on Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri’s Producer Advisory Council and the state chamber’s Health Care Policy Council. He’s also a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Missouri Chamber Federation, a partnership between 100 local chambers for unified advocacy efforts in Jefferson City.

The call to service extends outside of the office for Croley, who is a financial contributor for Camp Barnabas.

“Camp Barnabas is an organization that is close to my heart, and I have been involved with this amazing group for a number of years,” Croley says. “The impact they have on lives of young people with special needs and chronic illnesses is unparalleled.”
