Twelve states have filed suit against the Trump administration over its tariffs.
The lawsuit alleges the tariff policy has been influenced by President Donald Trump's "whims rather than the sound exercise of lawful authority.” The suit seeks a court declaration that the tariffs are illegal and a block on the enforcement of them.
The states that filed the lawsuit are Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oregon and Vermont.
