The world's largest Nutella factory was shut down temporarily as a precaution after “quality issues” were found in chocolate-hazelnut spread and Kinder Bueno candy bar samples.
The Villers-Ecalles, France, plant produces some 600,000 jars of Nutella per day. That's roughly a quarter of the world's Nutella supply.
“For now, we can say that no product currently on the market is affected by the situation and that the supply of our customers continues uninterrupted,” officials with parent company Ferrero said in a statement.
